Let’s face it, sport tourers and adventure bikes aren’t exactly the most beautiful motorcycles in the world. Designed with comfort, practicality, and long distance touring in mind, these bikes are oftentimes decked out in features which veer towards the more utilitarian side of things. But, what happens when you want an absolutely beautiful sport touring motorcycle?
Well, lucky for you, MV Agusta has just the right bike for you. The Turismo Veloce is the iconic Italian motorcycle manufacturer’s take on the good old sport tourer, but this time, filled to the brim with Motorcycle Art. Indeed, the Turismo Veloce, just like all of MV Agusta’s other machines, looks absolutely stunning from all angles. But, what if we told you that there was an even more special Turismo Veloce? Well, MV Agusta has just recently pulled the covers off the Turismo Veloce Lusso SCS.
Now, the Turismo Veloce Lusso SCS is a bit more special than your standard Turismo Veloce given the fact that it comes with quite a few techie features. But before we get into the details, let’s first take a look at the heart of the beast. Powering this gorgeous sport tourer is an iteration of MV Agusta’s 798cc triple found in the F3 800 sportbike. In the Turismo Veloce’s case, it has been slightly detuned, favoring a smoother and more linear power delivery. That said, it still pumps out an impressive 110 horsepower.

On the feature front, we find MV Agusta’s new Smart Clutch System (SCS). Prominently displayed via a beautiful transparent clutch cover, SCS is a wet multi-plate clutch system with automatic hydraulic actuation. So that means, it behaves very much like a Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) transmission found on some cars and other motorcycles. Aside from the SCS, MV Agusta has also tweaked the electronic suspension to be slightly more responsive, lending itself to sportier riding. New side bags are also featured on the bike, and they come with a very generous 36 liters of storage per side.
Now, our friends from Motostrada have yet to announce the launch of the new MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso SCS in the local market. When they do, however, we can expect this bike to be quite the head-turner in the local sport touring scene. For reference, the current generation Turismo Veloce starts at P1,100,000 for the base model, and goes all the way up to P1,600,000 for the Turismo Veloce Lusso RC SCS.
