Suzuki rolls out new colors, refinements to Burgman Street
Four new colorways and the addition of a few safety enhancements have been added to this entry-level commuter.

Small displacement commuter scooters will always have a place in the heart of Pinoy commuters. While these lightweight runabouts aren’t exactly the flashiest way to get around, they indeed offer unparalleled levels of mobility and practicality. Naturally, as technology on bigger, more expensive two-wheelers progresses, these advancements trickle down to more affordable, commuter-focused machines. The updated Suzuki Burgman Street is no exception.
Suzuki Motorcycles Philippines has rolled out refinements to one of its most popular commuter models, the Burgman Street, putting the maxi in maxi-scooter even more. First introduced in 2020, it’s hard to believe that it’s already been two years since this diminutive yet stylish maxi-scooter debuted in the local market. Naturally, with a bike this sensible, it can be quite a challenge to improve on something that’s already so good. That said, we can give Suzuki a pass for just updating the scooter’s colorways.

The recently updated Burgman Street rocks stylish new colorways. In total, it’s available in four color options consisting of Matte Bordeaux Red, Pearl Fresh Blue, Matte Black, and Pearl Mirage White. Across the board, Suzuki has incorporated sleek and stealthy black accents, giving the Burgman Street an air of sporty sophistication. Apart from the colors, some minor refinements in the lines of safety and convenience have been introduced, as well. For starters, a new side-stand switch that prevents the scooter from starting when the stand is down, has been fitted.
On the performance side of things, we can expect the ever-reliable, fuel-efficient performance we’ve become so familiar with when it comes to Suzuki’s scooters. The Burgman Street continues to be powered by a 125cc air-cooled, fuel-injected single-cylinder engine. Underneath the seat, 21 liters of storage provides utmost convenience for riders to store their personal belongings, while a USB charger allows riders to charge their mobile devices whilst on the go. As for pricing, the Burgman Street sees a marginal price increase, and now retails for P78,900.
