2026 Ducati Diavel V4 RS unveiled as most powerful Diavel yet

The Diavel RS is one of the fastest accelerating road-legal Ducatis ever.

2026 Ducati Diavel V4 RS unveiled as most powerful Diavel yet

When Ducati first introduced the Diavel, it didn’t really make sense on paper. Here was a brand famous for its race-bred superbikes and sharp naked machines suddenly building something that looked like a power cruiser. Yet over the years, the Diavel has carved out its own cult following. It isn’t a Harley rival, it isn’t a laid-back tourer—it’s something in between, a motorcycle that thrives on contradiction.

Now, Ducati has taken that contradiction and turned the dial to eleven with the new Diavel V4 RS. This isn’t just a styling exercise or a suspension upgrade. It’s a full-blown reimagining of what a performance cruiser can be, and it comes with tech and hardware that blur the line between practicality and pure insanity.

The biggest change is in the engine room. Out goes the 1158cc Granturismo V4 from the standard Diavel, and in comes the 1103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4, the very same powerplant that drives the Panigale superbike. It may be slightly smaller in displacement, but it’s tuned for sharper response and higher revs, making 182 hp at 11,750 rpm. Torque checks in at 89 lb-ft, which arrives later in the rev range than before, giving the RS a fiercer, more urgent personality. Ducati even called in Marc Márquez to show what the bike can really do—and with launch control engaged, he blasted from 0 to 100 kph in just 2.5 seconds.

The chassis gets serious upgrades to match. The RS wears Öhlins suspension front and back, along with forged Marchesini wheels wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV rubber, including that massive 240-section rear tire that has always defined the Diavel’s stance. Carbon fiber bodywork cuts some weight, while revised gearing stretches the wheelbase slightly to keep things stable when the revs climb.

Styling details seal the deal: carbon panels, reshaped intakes, RS graphics, and a single-seat tail that hides a passenger setup if needed. Electronics include the full suite of Ducati rider aids—cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, launch control, and multiple riding modes.Of course, the price matches the performance. At $39,995, the Diavel V4 RS costs a hefty premium over the base model. But for the rider who wants the silhouette of a cruiser with the soul of a superbike, there’s nothing else like it.

The Diavel has always been Ducati’s oddball. With the RS, it’s transformed into one of the most extreme bikes in the lineup—a machine for those who want performance without compromise and style without limits.
