The Ducati Panigale V4 R is the craziest Ducati superbike yet
It makes use of technology taken straight out of Ducati's MotoGP program.
The Ducati Panigale has always been one of the most desirable sportbikes in the world, admired as much for its stunning looks as its relentless performance. It’s the bike that riders dream of, whether they’re weekend enthusiasts or serious track junkies. For 2026, Ducati has unveiled the most extreme version yet: the Panigale V4 R.
With a price tag of $49,995 USD (about P2.95 million), the V4 R is a homologation special designed to bring factory race tech to the street. At its core is the 998cc Desmosedici Stradale R engine, making 208hp at 13,250rpm and 114Nm at 12,000rpm. Fit it with the Akrapovic racing exhaust and power climbs to 235hp, while Ducati claims nearly 239hp with its performance oil. Top speed stretches from 317kph to 330kph—numbers that put it dangerously close to MotoGP territory
The gearbox is equally track focused. Ducati uses a Racing Gearbox layout that places neutral below first, a design borrowed from its MotoGP and WorldSBK machines. Combined with a Neutral Lock switch on the handlebar, it reduces the risk of missed shifts under hard braking. Inside, lighter pistons, titanium rods, and variable-length intakes show just how race-bred this engine really is.
Chassis updates are just as serious. A revised front frame with reduced stiffness improves feel at lean, while a double-sided hollow swingarm replaces Ducati’s usual single-sided design to maximize traction. Suspension comes from Öhlins with a pressurized NPX25/30 fork and TTX36 shock, both fully adjustable. Brembo Hypure calipers clamp onto 330mm discs for stopping power, while forged wheels wear Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V4 tires. Wet weight is just 186kg without fuel.
Aerodynamics take another step forward with MotoGP-inspired corner sidepods and enlarged biplane wings. At 300kph, they generate 6kg of downforce, helping stability and grip at speed. Electronics are equally advanced, with Ducati’s Vehicle Observer system managing traction, braking, and wheelies. A new Race Brake Control feature lets riders trail brake harder, while a 6.9-inch TFT dash even displays a Grip Meter showing how much traction is left.
The 2026 Ducati Panigale V4 R is not for everyone, but for those who want the closest thing to a factory race bike, this is it. Check out Ducati’s full lineup of motorcycles on MotoDeal and see which model is right for you.
