2021 Moto Guzzi V85 TT launched in the global market
It gets revised engine tuning for better low end grunt.
Moto Guzzi is one of those motorcycle manufacturers that’s sure to gain interest both among diehard enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts alike. Unlike its other more mainstream Italian counterparts like Aprilia and Ducati, Moto Guzzi is somewhat more reserved, and has a more discerning and exclusive air to it.
Perhaps it’s because of the company’s rich heritage, or perhaps its impressive machines which are the embodiment of the seamless blend of heritage and technology. Maybe it’s both. That being said, the Italian manufacturer has seen much success with the V85 TT adventure touring bike. So much so, that the company has rolled out an updated version for the 2021 model year. This update undoubtedly comes in a very timely fashion, as this year will mark Moto Guzzi’s centennial anniversary—100 years of passion, innovation, and success.
Having been built in Mandello del Lario since the company’s inception in 1921, all of Moto Guzzi’s bikes continue rolling out from their hometown. The V85 TT was built for the rider who seeks adventure beyond the confines of paved roads. Drawing inspiration from one of the most iconic motorsports events in the world, the Paris-Dakar, the V85 TT is an homage to the iconic race, as well as a nod to groundbreaking innovative technology. For 2021, the V85 TT remains largely unchanged, however its heart, the 853cc longitudinally mounted V-twin gets a substantial upgrade. Tuned to give more low end grunt, the updated engine is rated for 80 hp and 81 Nm of torque.
As of the moment, there is no word yet as to when the 2021 Moto Guzzi V85 TT will make its way to Philippine shores. The current generation V85 TT, however, retails for P830,000 and boasts the same styling and mechanical components as the 2021 model.
