The QJMotor SRT 500 RX could shake up the midsize adventure segment

QJMotor’s latest ADV combines strong performance with real-world value

The QJMotor SRT 500 RX could shake up the midsize adventure segment

QJMotor is quickly becoming one of the most ambitious names in motorcycling. Backed by the Geely Group—the same Chinese powerhouse that owns Volvo, Lotus, and Benelli—the brand has been expanding aggressively into global markets. With access to strong R&D, engineering talent, and manufacturing scale, QJMotor has gone from a domestic manufacturer to a serious global contender in just a few years.

The company’s latest creation, the SRT 500 RX, shows just how far it has come. It’s an all-new midweight adventure bike designed for riders who want genuine off-road capability without the high cost or intimidating size of a big ADV. Power comes from a 449cc liquid-cooled parallel twin that produces around 48hp at 9,500rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. There are reports that QJMotor will also offer an optional automated manual transmission—similar to what it already uses on its SRK 500 RA sport model—making it even more accessible for riders who prefer clutchless convenience.

The SRT 500 RX rides on a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear setup with wire-spoke wheels, supported by long-travel suspension expected to be sourced from Marzocchi. Its steel frame and aluminum swingarm provide a good balance of strength and lightness, while the bike’s dry weight is listed at 177kg. With an 18L tank filled, that figure should rise to around 190kg—manageable for both trail riding and touring.

In terms of features, the bike is packed with modern equipment. There’s a full-color TFT display with smartphone connectivity, LED lighting, traction control, dual-channel ABS, and Brembo brakes. It also includes useful touches like an adjustable windshield, rear luggage rack, USB charging port, and engine guards. These features put it on par with higher-priced adventure bikes in its class.

Pricing is where QJMotor really turns heads. The SRT 500 RX is expected to launch in Europe in early 2026 for under €6,000, or roughly ₱370,000. That’s a competitive price for a twin-cylinder adventure bike with premium components and solid performance. It’s set to go up against rivals like the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and CFMoto 450MT, both of which sit in a similar displacement range but cost noticeably more.

For everyday riders, this matters because it signals that high-quality, well-equipped adventure bikes are becoming more affordable. QJMotor’s rapid growth and improving quality are proof that competition benefits everyone. More options mean more riders can experience real adventure without breaking the bank.
