Morbidelli T502XR targets the midsize ADV segment with serious off-road intent
The new 486cc adventure bike brings long-travel suspension, rider aids, and a 21/18 setup.
Morbidelli’s new T502XR goes straight for the heart of the midsize adventure segment by pairing a 486cc liquid-cooled twin with long-travel hardware and a chassis aimed at equal parts road and trail. The engine makes 46.3hp at 8500rpm and 45Nm at 6750rpm, matched to a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch. Curb weight sits at 198kg, which places it in familiar territory for riders cross-shopping with similarly specced Chinese and European midsize ADVs.
Despite Morbidelli positioning it as a 50/50 machine, the 21in front and 18in rear setup leans toward more serious dirt work. Both wheels are tubeless and spoked, and the CST rubber comes with deep tread blocks suited for loose surfaces. Suspension reinforces the off-road angle with a 41mm upside-down fork offering 200mm of travel. The rear uses a Pro-link monoshock with 69mm of travel and adjustable preload. Ground clearance climbs to 230mm and seat height rises to 860mm, both higher than the T502X.
Stopping power comes from J.Juan components. The front uses a 320mm floating disc with 4-piston calipers, while the rear has a 240mm disc with a single-piston caliper. Bosch ABS is onboard and can be switched off at the rear or disabled entirely for riders who want full control on dirt.
Electronics take a noticeable step forward. A 7in TFT display handles navigation and smartphone connectivity, and heated grips plus a heated seat come standard. The model also introduces Electronic Throttle Control to Morbidelli’s lineup, unlocking four riding modes: Standard, Rainy, Sport, and Off-Road. Off-Road mode adjusts power delivery and relaxes traction aids for low-grip conditions.
Claimed top speed is 160kph. Fuel capacity is 18L. Tire sizes are 90/90R21 at the front and 140/70R18 at the rear. The package places the T502XR directly against rivals like Voge’s DS525X and QJMotor’s SRT600S, both of which occupy similar displacement and equipment brackets.
The T502XR is scheduled to reach Italy and Spain in the first half of 2026 before expanding to the rest of Europe and other markets. Final pricing has not yet been announced.
