Piaggio Ape Auto DX Overview

This passenger tricycle, the Piaggio Ape Auto DX, is priced at P218,000. Notably, the Apé has always stayed true to its original purpose—to help in business by being a dependable partner. Three new models of the nameplate were introduced in 2019, and are set to offer a wide range of customization options and become one of the most adaptable platforms around.

The Auto DX has an attractive and spacious interior that can carry four passengers and a driver. This interior can be accessed through a wide aperture that’s also an advantage in keeping those passengers cool in this country’s hot weather. But should there be a sudden downpour, a durable roof is there to block it.

The tricycle is powered by an air-cooled 435cc diesel engine that has four strokes and one cylinder. It makes 9 hp and 23 Nm of torque, both of which are managed by a 4-speed manual gearbox that also includes a reverse gear. Piaggio claims an average fuel consumption of 36 km/L and is Euro 4 compliant.
