The KTM 1390 Super Adventure S is the sweet spot in KTM's flagship adventure lineup, sharing the same 1350 cc LC8 V-twin engine as the range-topping S EVO, but arriving at a more accessible price point without stripping out the technology that makes the platform compelling. That engine produces 170 hp and 145 Nm of torque, aided by Camshift, KTM's variable valve timing system that adjusts inlet cam profiles depending on engine speed to balance low-end tractability with strong top-end performance. It's a potent, characterful motor housed in a steel trellis frame that keeps the whole package at a manageable 244 kg wet.
Where the Super Adventure S sits apart from the EVO is in how that technology is tiered. The S comes standard with WP Semi-Active Suspension, cornering ABS, traction control, multiple ride modes including Rain, Street, Sport, Off-Road, and Custom, a keyless system, tire pressure monitoring, and an 8-inch portrait-mount touchscreen. Front Radar and Adaptive Cruise Control, however, are optional on the S.
The Super Adventure S comes with a conventional six-speed manual gearbox with a slipper clutch. Optional upgrades include Front Radar, a Quickshifter Plus, Rally Mode, Suspension Pro, and Hill Hold Control, giving buyers the flexibility to build the bike toward their own priorities. With a 23-liter fuel tank and the full breadth of KTM's electronics architecture underneath, the 1390 Super Adventure S makes a strong case for riders who want flagship-level performance and want to keep the experience pure and engaging.
