Ducati Monster 937 Overview

Ducati's newest Monster takes a more modern approach to the tried and tested formula the Italian brand has been implementing since the start of the nameplate. With updated electronics and an updated chassis, the bike transforms into an even more monstrous machine.

Being a sport-naked bike, it features upright ergonomics that allow the rider to sit on its aluminum alloy frame in a more neutral stance. It's suspended by a set of upside-down forks at 43mm in diameter paired with a progressive linkage preload-adjustable rear mono-shock attached to an aluminum double-sided swingarm. Loaded up with fluids, the bike weighs 188 kg and features a seat height of 820mm, but can be fitted with a low seat to bring the height down to a more manageable 800mm.

Motivating this Monster is a 937cc Testatretta 90-degree V2 engine that has the Italian brand's signature Desmodromic valve system. The bike is liquid-cooled and produces 111 hp and up to 93 Nm of torque. The bike is fed fuel through an electronic fuel injection system with wide 53mm throttle bodies and a ride-by-wire system. Its motor is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, and it also receives a slipper clutch.

Braking is handled by a set of Brembo dual discs in the front and a single disc in the rear. ABS is standard on this model, as is cornering ABS, traction control, and multiple ride modes to name a few.
