2018 Ducati Scrambler 1100 - On The Saddle
Retro Italian passion, beating underneath your Scrambler’s saddle.
The Scrambler 1100 is Ducati Philippines’ latest addition to the Scrambler lineup.
The Ducati Scrambler 1100 is the most powerful and most technologically advanced Scrambler to date. With a slightly detuned version of the same engine in the Ducati Monster 1100L, it has the biggest engine in the lineup. The 1100 Scrambler is also the biggest in terms of overall size, featuring a bigger 15L fuel tank and a plush seat. Join us as we take you on a tour on why the Scrambler 1100 sits on top of the lineup.
Underneath the saddle beats a 1,079cc engine that produces 86 hp at 7,500 rpm and 88 Nm torque at 4,750 rpm. While being only 13 hp more than the Scrambler 800, it does have 26 more Newton meters of torque giving it that extra kick. Looking closer at the Scrambler, one will find twin discs gripped by Brembo Monobloc Calipers; one disc more than the 800 for more stopping power. Up front is a fully adjustable Marzocchi Fork and on the rear, adjustable Kayaba Suspension. Upgrading to the sport version will give you a full Ohlins setup suited for more aggressive riding.
Being the most technologically-advanced Scrambler, the 1100 has thee riding modes: active, journey and city. Journey mode features intervention from ABS and Traction Control, but with full power perfect for long distance cruising. The city mode features full ABS and traction control for going through the urban jungle. Finally, active mode has minimal ABS and TCS intervention for spirited riding. The Scrambler does not letup with the safety features either, with an automatic headlamp which turns on when it gets darker and automatic turn signal reset to avoid confusing vehicles behind the rider. Out of all the retro designed motorcycles, the Ducati Scrambler 1100 stands on top in terms of all the technology it offers.
At P915,000, the P300,000 premium may put some interested buyers off, but if you want the best Scrambler Ducati has to offer, look no further than the 1100.
