Vespa launches 75th Anniversary Primavera and GTS editions
An elegant color scheme to celebrate Vespa’s 75th birthday.

There’s no denying that we, Filipinos, adore our scooters. These practical, little two-wheelers dominating the streets are seen as both toys and tools by the people who love them. Out of all the scooters in the market, however, none comes close to the legendary status of iconic Italian scooter manufacturer Vespa. Finding its roots in war-stricken Italy, Vespa was born in 1946, to provide affordable personal mobility to the Italian population. Little did Enrico Piaggio know that he had created a company that would soon take the world by storm, and capture the hearts of enthusiasts and first-time motorcycle owners alike.
These days, Vespa scooters are mostly seen as luxury items, especially in the Philippine market. Their retro-modern styling continues to be all the rage, and their rock-solid dependability and strong after-sales service foster loyalty among Vespisti. On top of this, Vespa as a whole puts a lot of effort into providing a lot of variety when it comes to accessories and customization for its customers. In fact, the Italian scooter company continues to release new color schemes, and updates its accessories catalog on a regular basis.

2021 marks Vespa’s 75th anniversary, and it’s only fitting that it has released limited-edition variants of 2 of its most popular scooters. The 75th Anniversary Editions of the Vespa Primavera and GTS are clad in an elegant light gold color scheme called ‘Giallo 75th’. A throwback to the first Vespas of the late 40s and early 50s, the special colorway puts an elegant spin on what was once seen as a humble way to make ends meet. Subtly featured on the side panels is a ‘75’ numbering, in a slightly contrasting shade of gold.
To make things even more special, Vespa has fitted a custom saddle with smoked gray leather upholstery. A round leather bag has also been fitted onto the rear luggage rack. Apart from being a practical feature, the bag is also an homage to the spare tire found in early Vespas. The purchase of any Vespa Primavera or GTS 75th Anniversary Edition comes with an owner’s welcoming kit with a vintage steel Vespa plate. A personal owner’s booklet adorned with 8 Vespa collector postcards and a fancy Italian jacquard-silk scarf come in the package, as well.
