Triumph Street Scrambler Sandstorm expected to break cover soon
A special edition of the popular Triumph Street Scrambler.

2021 has just started, and we’re all pumped up for the up and coming motorcycle launches slated throughout the year. However, Triumph seems to have 2021 all sorted out as they’ve already begun work on their 2022 lineup. It would appear that the iconic British motorcycle manufacturer has something up its sleeve—something to boost its lineup of classic-styled machines.
The company recently filed certification documents with the U.S. EPA for a new motorcycle variant dubbed the ‘Sandstorm.’ Our sources hint that this will in fact be a variant of the Triumph Scrambler—a surprisingly off-road capable retro styled machine. That said, the Scrambler Sandstorm could be a more street-oriented version of this bike, plus feature quite a few key differences. We’re well aware that Triumph likes using earthy names in their nomenclatures. For instance, they have a color option for the Tiger 1200 called ‘Snowdonia White’. In fact, the Desert edition of the Tiger adventure bike featured a colorway dubbed ‘Sandstorm’.

With that in mind, we can expect the upcoming Street Scrambler Sandstorm to be a rather special, limited edition release. Perhaps, it’ll come outfitted with a swanky Arrow exhaust system, similar to what we find on the Tiger 1200 Desert edition. Of course, we can expect the future bike to be Euro 5-compliant, and produce 64.1 hp out of its 900cc, 270-degree crank-equipped, air-cooled mill. All things considered, the Triumph Street Scrambler Sandstorm could very likely make it to the Philippine market.
With a growing enthusiast base for this iconic British brand, Triumph Philippines is seeing considerable success with bikes such as the Bobber Black and the Street Triple RS. At present, the Triumph Scrambler carries a sticker price that starts at P775,000.
