Take a look at the Moto Morini X-Cape ADV-R 650 rally adventure bike
This burly adventurer took on the Bassella Race in Spain, marking Moto Morini’s motorsports debut.

Chinese motorbike tycoon Zhongneng is the owner of the Italian motorcycle manufacturer Moto Morini. Although Moto Morini has authentic Italian roots, the Chinese corporation bought it and revived it in 2018. Since then, the Seiemezzo neo-retro roadsters and the X-Cape adventure cycle have been the brand's most well-known middleweight products.
Moto Morini made it known during EICMA 2022 that it intended to advance in the performance-oriented segment. The X-Cape ADV-R 650, an adventure-enduro motorcycle based on the standard X-Cape 650, was shown. The ADV-R distinguished itself from its more road-oriented sister by using larger tires, better suspension parts, and an aftermarket exhaust system. It was believed at the time that this bike was only a special edition model created to demonstrate the X-Cape's performance capabilities. However, this time, the X-Cape ADV-R 650 competed in the Bassella Race, marking its first appearance in motorsports.

The Moto Morini X-Cape ADV-R 650 competed in some of the most difficult terrain, demonstrating its mettle against more seasoned competitors in the middleweight adventure-enduro category. It was raced by Oriol Mena, the winner of the T4 SSV category of the 2023 Dakar Rally. Currently, it's unclear if the Moto Morini X-Cape ADV-R 650 will ever be released as a production model. However, some manufacturers have strengthened the off-road versions of their ADV vehicles. For instance, KTM offers the 790 Adventure R, which is more performance oriented, while Yamaha offers the Ténéré 700 World Raid edition, which features upgraded suspension, and a larger fuel tank.
The Moto Morini X-Cape ADV-R has a 649cc parallel-twin engine with a 180-degree crankshaft. An eight-valve cylinder head, liquid cooling, and electronic fuel injection provide the compact engine with 60 horsepower and 37.8 lb-ft of torque. The ADV-R also receives an aluminum sump guard and a complete SC-Project exhaust system for further reinforcement and weight reduction. An Öhlins remote adjustable rear shock handles the suspension work. Lastly, it comes with robust inverted long travel forks up front that are fully adjustable.
