The "Next-Gen" 803cc Scrambler range from Ducati has just been unveiled; it has fresh styling, a new ride-by-wire throttle, a 4.3-inch TFT display, and a reworked chassis. The Icon, Full Throttle, and Nightshift are the three 803cc Scramblers that Ducati will offer for 2023. The new look stays close to the Scrambler principle and sticks with the tried and true 803cc engine. For a customizable appearance, the steel fuel tank has been updated with an interchangeable cover that can be switched out along with the fenders and headlamp detail.

With updated casings, new clutch, transmission, and electronics parts, the 803 cc air-cooled 90° V-Twin with desmodromic valve actuation is lighter than the previous generation by 5.5 pounds, according to Ducati. The exhaust system was also updated, further simplifying the headers to reveal more of the engine. The new Scrambler is advertised by Ducati as having a peak torque of 82 Nm and the same maximum power output of 73 horsepower at 8,250 rpm as the previous model.

In comparison to the old clutch, the new eight-disc clutch delivers a gentler pull, and its more compact design produced a smaller cover and more room for the rider's foot. The transmission now has a redesigned shift drum positioned on a bearing that is intended to provide smoother, more accurate shifting.

A ride-by-ride throttle is added to the new Scrambler, enabling additional electronics like traction control and two selectable riding modes, Road and Wet. Additionally, the Scrambler can be equipped with an up-and-down quickshifter thanks to the electronic throttle. For the Icon and Nightshift versions, the quickshifter will be an optiona extra, however, for the Scrambler Full Throttle, it will come as standard. Cornering ABS was a feature of the previous Scrambler, and it is still available on the new generation of motorcycles.

Ducati provides a 4.3-inch color TFT display for the new Scramblers to aid in navigating the electronics. Additionally, Ducati provides a multimedia accessory system with smartphone connectivity. The revised, lighter trellis frame and new swingarm also make the bike lighter, nimbler, and improve handling. Also shifted toward the middle of the motorbike is the preload-adjustable Kayaba rear shock, which is said to improve overall weight balance. Similar to earlier Scrambler versions, the brakes have a single radial four-piston caliper up front and a single-piston floating caliper with a 245 mm disc in the back.

While maintaining the same 18-inch front and 17-inch rear sizes, the wheels feature new designs, depending on the model of your choice. While the Nightshift has aluminum wire spoked wheels, the Full Throttle and Icon variants have alloy wheels. The MT RS tires are provided by Pirelli, with the front tire measuring 110/80 R18 and the rear tire measuring 180/55 R17.
