Royal Enfield tops sales in midsize motorcycle segment in New Zealand
Well on their way to global domination.

Royal Enfield has fast become a force to be reckoned with in the global motorcycle industry. What was once an obscure motorcycle manufacturer from India has now become one of the strongest players in the Asia-Pacific motorcycle industry. The company’s rise to stardom is largely attributable to the success of its 650 Twins—the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650.
The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 have set the standard in the middleweight retro modern street motorcycle segment. Boasting timeless styling and impressive build quality, these two bikes are loved the world over largely due to their extremely affordable price tags. Because of the success of these two bikes, the company has been able to revamp its entire motorcycle model lineup, and offer new and exhausting models in the market. This has brought about massive growth and expansion all over the world, particularly in the Land Down Under.

Royal Enfield has recently released an announcement stating that it has achieved the top position in the middleweight motorcycle segment in New Zealand. The company has outsold major manufacturers from Europe and Japan in the 250cc to 1000cc segment. Much to the delight of Royal Enfield, Asia Pacific (APAC) Head of Business expressed his gratitude towards the momentous achievement.
“We are absolutely delighted that we have become the number one mid-size motorcycling brand in New Zealand. Royal Enfield has intently focused on growing and leading the middleweight segment market across the world and becoming a truly Global motorcycling brand. We have consistently grown our network, reach, product, apparel, GMA range and offerings to appeal to the customers. In fact, since our entry in Australia and New Zealand, we have received great feedback and love from motorcycle enthusiasts.”
With Royal Enfield’s remarkable performance all over the world, it is only a matter of time before this Indian motorcycle manufacturer becomes the top selling big bike maker in the Philippines. The company recently launched the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 in the local market, and has received generally positive feedback from this entry level cruiser. Meanwhile, the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 continue to enjoy successful sales in recent months.
