This is Royal Enfield’s first foray into the world of electrification.

Royal Enfield releases teaser of Flying Flea electric motorcycle

Royal Enfield has built its reputation on bikes that are simple, stylish, and easy to connect with. Models like the Bullet, Classic, Meteor, and Hunter have become staples on Philippine roads, giving riders a mix of old-school charm and everyday usability. Now, the brand that made mid-sized motorcycles cool again is getting ready for something completely different: its first proper electric bike.

That bike is the Flying Flea C6, the opening shot in RE’s new EV lineup. The company recently released a video of it being tested in Leh, Ladakh—one of the toughest places you could take a motorcycle, with high-altitude roads, steep climbs, and winding descents. In the clip, the C6 is ridden in both Eco and Sport modes, sometimes with a passenger. Feedback from the testers was that it kept pace going uphill, stayed smooth downhill, and didn’t show any lag. Not bad for a commuter-focused machine that’s being asked to handle mountain terrain.

Size-wise, the C6 sits right around Hunter 350 territory, maybe even a little smaller. It runs a lightweight aluminum frame with a magnesium battery case, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a girder-style fork that tips its hat to RE’s retro roots. Tech-wise, it’s more advanced than anything else in the brand’s lineup. Expect a round TFT screen with Bluetooth, navigation, over-the-air updates, plus rider assists like traction control and cornering ABS—features that should come in handy in the daily grind, especially on Manila’s unpredictable roads.

Performance is said to feel like a 125 to 150cc gas bike, which makes sense for a city commuter. The real kicker will be the price. In India, estimates put it between Rs200,000 and Rs300,000, or about P131,000 to P197,000. That keeps it in the same ballpark as some entry-level bikes here, and could make the C6 a realistic step into electric mobility without burning a hole in the wallet.

The only downside is the wait. Royal Enfield says the Flying Flea C6 won’t launch until early 2026. Until then, it’s all just teasers and test footage. Want to dig deeper? Check out the Flying Flea C6 and the rest of RE’s lineup on our comprehensive bike guide.
