Royal Enfield to launch new Bullet 350 in India on September 1, 2023
The historic model will undergo modernization in terms of tech, but retain its classic styling.
Out of all of Royal Enfield’s models, the Bullet 350 is one of the most iconic, with a history dating back to 1931. That being said, Royal Enfield is expected to introduce the updated Bullet 350 in India on September 1, 2023. This model is predicted to carve out a distinct place within the product range, positioned between the Hunter 350 and the Classic 350.
The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 for the 2023 release will maintain its well-known design, with no major modifications in the company's plans. The iconic design that is closely associated with the Bullet series will see minimal adjustments, consistent with Royal Enfield's commitment to preserving its unique visual style. Notably, the upcoming model will showcase a singular seat design and a circular halogen headlamp. The initial teaser image keeps the pinstripe embellishments on the fuel tank intact, while a newly adopted tail lamp from the Classic 350 will complete the bike's overall appearance.
It’s rumored that the upcoming iteration of the Bullet 350 will embrace the same chassis found in the Classic 350, establishing a shared foundational framework between the two motorcycles. Likewise, the suspension and braking components are expected to maintain uniformity across both models. The front suspension is set to include 41 mm telescopic forks, while the rear will integrate twin shock absorbers with the ability to adjust across 6 different levels.
The upcoming Bullet 350 will be powered by the J-series engine, a 349cc long-stroke unit featuring air-oil cooling. This powertrain is capable of producing around 20 hp of maximum power and 27 Nm of peak torque. Paired with a five-speed gearbox, the engine's performance characteristics will undergo adjustments to ensure compatibility with the bike's overall characteristics. It's worth noting that this particular engine is also employed in the Classic 350, Hunter 350, and Meteor 350 models.
Here in the Philippines, the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 continues to be the most affordable model in RE’s lineup. With a price tag starting at just P231,000, it offers both beginners and seasoned riders alike an easy-access motorcycle with retro-inspired charm and urban capabilities.
