The MV Agusta Superveloce 800 is now in the Philippines
One of the most beautiful neo-classic bikes from Varese is finally here.
The MV Agusta Superveloce is arguably one of the sexiest Italian bikes to ever come out of Lake Varese. If a supermodel could turn into a motorcycle, it should look like a Superveloce. Its blend of neo-classic racer styling together with its potent triple engine would have anyone ogle over its curves if you walk past by it. No wonder the motorcycle media has dubbed it “the poster child of sexy Italian bikes”.
The beautifully shaped retro-bubble fairing combined with its small classic round headlight makes up its fascia. Meanwhile, it’s taillight shape is inspired by aviation design meant to resemble a jet fighter’s tail end. With its exposed ALS trellis frame and triple-tip exhaust, the Superveloce 800 proudly shows off its signature design and expert craftsmanship.
The Superveloce is no Italian diva. More than its looks, it runs on a very potent 798 cc inline-three engine also seen in the F3 800 track machine. The powertrain is capable of churning out 148 hp and 88 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch and that ever-reliable quick-shifter MV Agustas are known for. With components made out of lightweight materials, the Superveloce tips the scales with a dry weight of only 173 kg.
It also features a full-color 5-inch TFT display also used in the Brutale 1000. Tech and safety features include cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, and MVRide app compatibility that gives access to its navigation system and other bike settings.
Damping duties are handled by a 43 mm Marzocchi upside-down fork for the front, and a progressive Sachs mono-shock for the rear with compression damping, rebound, and spring preload adjustment. A pair of 320 mm discs with four-piston Brembo calipers in the front together with a 220 mm disc with Brembo dual-piston caliper clamps for the rear provide stopping duties. Both ends come equipped with ABS. The Superveloce rides on 17-inch gold alloy rims with a set of Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa II tires.
Motostrada, the official distributor of MV Agusta motorcycles in the Philippines priced the Superveloce 800 at P1,550,000 and it comes in two color options: Red and Silver Ago, and Carbon Black. The units have just arrived earlier this week, and they have already been getting a lot of inquiries with a number of them already sold.
