Maxed out: Yamaha NMax 125 Tech Max takes home Design Win
It might not take up much space, but the NMax 125 Tech Max sure made room for a win at this year’s Red Dot Awards.

You’ve seen it on highways, streets, and maybe even your neighbor’s garage. The NMax 125 Tech Max is now an award-winner too. The Yamaha NMax 125 Tech Max just won the 2025 Red Dot Award for Product Design, one of the most well-known design awards in the world.
Yamaha has now won a Red Dot award every year since 2011, showing how consistent the brand is when it comes to design. This time, it’s the NMax’s smaller 125cc version that caught the attention of judges, not the 155cc version we usually see on Philippine roads.

Even if the award went to the international-spec NMax 125, it still shares most of its parts with the model many local riders are familiar with. Some of the updates on the winning version include LED lights, a new TFT instrument panel, and better comfort features. The Tech Max variant also comes with a more premium seat and a nicer color finish.

Yamaha says the NMax was designed to be the most user-friendly scooter in the Max Series lineup. The overall theme for this new version was “Condensed Elements,” which focused on keeping things compact while improving comfort, styling, and tech. Riders who have used the local version will probably agree, it’s easy to use, stable on long rides, and looks great on the road.
While the NMax 125 Tech Max is not officially available in the Philippines, the win is still worth celebrating, especially for fans and owners of the NMax 155. Take a look at what Yamaha currently offers at MotoDeal.com.ph.
