KTM releases new color options for its RC sportbike range in India
Despite the new colors, the prices remain unchanged.
KTM’s RC sportbike range has been a popular choice for people looking for a fully-faired, aggressive motorcycle in a lightweight package equally capable for your daily commute, yet loads of fun on the track. In India, KTM offers the RC in three powertrains with the RC 125, RC 200, and RC 390. With that, KTM has just introduced a whole new paint scheme for all of the three RC models giving it a fresh new look.
The new color options introduced include Dark Galvano, Electronic Orange, and Metallic Silver. While the three paint schemes differ from each other, all of the bikes within the range will still be sporting the same orange color for its alloy wheels. At the same time, the entry-level RC 125 will have a new black paint scheme for its exposed split trellis frame while the RC 200 and RC 390 will both be having an orange color for its trellis frame. Apart from its new color options, all of the three bike’s components remain unchanged.
The RC 125 is powered by a 125 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine capable of churning out 15 hp at 9,250 RPM and 12 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 RPM. Meanwhile, the RC 200 sports a larger 199.5 cc cylinder engine capable of producing 25 hp and 19.2 Nm of torque. Its bigger sibling, the RC 390 runs on a liquid-cooled, DOHC, 373.2 cc single-cylinder engine that churns out a power output of 43 hp and 35 Nm of torque. All of the three KTM RC bikes are mated to a 6-speed manual transmission system.
Keeping the bikes aloft are front upside-down forks and a rear monoshock while stopping duties are provided by disc brakes for both front and rear with dual-channel ABS as standard. When it comes to the new colors we haven’t had any official word just yet from KTM’s official distributor, Adventure Cycle Philippines Inc. If the new color options will be available in the Philippines, the fact that it’s already currently available in India could give us a good chance of its arrival in the near future. In any case, we’ll be sure to keep you all updated if they do make any official announcements.
