Kawasaki updates the Ninja ZX-25R SE in the Japanese market
A new colorway and design enhancements comprise the updates for the quarter-liter sportbike for the 2024 model-year.
Kawasaki Japan has announced the upcoming release of the 2024 Ninja ZX-25R SE. Given the significant update the bike received in 2023, it's not surprising that the 2024 version will feature a new color option. This update introduces a fresh aesthetic element, appealing to riders who value aesthetics.
The lime green and ebony Kawasaki Racing Team livery will remain an option, but for 2024, there's a new two-tone color scheme: Metallic Phantom Silver x Ebony with slate blue accents. In the official studio images, the finish appears to be matte. The visible portion of the trellis frame, along with elements like the mirrors, alloy wheels, seat, handlebars, grips, and exhaust cover, are all in black. Even the Kawasaki logo on the tank is rendered in black.
The main color of this design is matte silver, accented by a small black slash on the side fairing that features a white ZX-25R decal at its center. Additionally, subtle slate blue accents can be spotted at various points on the fairing, and the familiar Kawasaki Ninja logo is positioned lower on the belly side, highlighted in the same slate blue hue.
The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R SE, as launched in Japan, is equipped with a liquid-cooled, 249cc inline four-cylinder engine. This powerplant boasts a claimed output of 46.9 hp at 15,500 rpm. Known for its high-revving nature, this four-cylinder engine can reach impressive revs of over 17,000 rpm. The suspension setup includes a Showa Separate Function Fork – Big Piston (SFF-BP) at the front and a horizontal back link rear suspension. The front brake utilizes a radially mounted caliper. Notable features encompass a trellis frame design, up and down quick shifter with auto blipper, traction control, power modes, center ram air system, LED lighting, and a 4.3-inch full-color TFT display.
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R continues to be a popular option for sportbike enthusiasts in the Philippine market. Although Kawasaki Philippines has yet to announce new colors for the 2024 model year, the sportbike continues to be made available in its 2023 guise in the local market, and is priced at P410,000.
