Honda Philippines is recognized for its CSR efforts with a Gold SPMJ Driven to Serve Award
From donating motorcycles to helping typhoon victims rebuild their homes, Honda Philippines stays true to its One Dream campaign.

The Society of Philippine Motoring Journalists (SPMJ) recognizes Honda Philippines, the number one motorcycle manufacturer in the Philippines, the COVID-19 Response Gold Award at the 5th SPMJ Driven to Serve Awards that took place last April 6, 2022.
Honda Philippines, Inc.(HPI) represented the Honda Foundation, Inc. (HFI) in receiving the Gold Award. HFI is the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of the Honda Group of Companies in the Philippines.

HFI’s first project that lent a hand to Filipinos during the pandemic was a donation to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) in 2020. The donation involved a fleet of motorcycles to help in the quick delivery of humanitarian and life-saving services to communities amid the pandemic. Honda’s efforts and donations to the PRC is in line with the brand’s “One Dream” campaign, which paints Honda motorcycles as life-saving machines. A total of 104 units of the TMX 125 Alpha (the little brother to the TMX 150 Supremo) and Wave 110 Alpha, equipped with insulated top boxes were donated and used by all chapters of the PRC.

Following that, HFI lent a hand to rebuild homes hit by typhoon Cantanduanes last year, 2021. Big Red in the Philippines handed over construction supplies to help families rebuild their homes in the town of San Andres, Catanduanes after the typhoons Rolly and Ulysses. Galvanized steel sheets, marine-grade plywood, coco lumber, and umbrella nails were all part of HPI’s package along with Honda souvenirs.
“Honda Foundation, Inc. and the entire Honda Group of Companies in the Philippines are beyond grateful for this heart-warming recognition by the SPMJ. Supporting the community is the cornerstone of our business as we believe in creating value for the society. This award will only keep us even more inspired to improve the lives of Filipino people in need and bring joy to people’s lives.”

SPMJ is an association of local automotive writers, editors, and media personalities across different platforms and outlets.
