Honda donates 104 motorcycles to Philippine Red Cross

Honda’s motorcycles are also meant to save lives.

Honda Philippines, Inc., considered the number one motorcycle brand in the country, has just donated 104 motorcycles to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC). The units donated by Honda were fitted with insulated top boxes that are used for the quick transporting of critical, life-saving blood supply, materials, and equipment all throughout the country’s 104 PRC chapters. The donation was personally handed over by Susumu Mitsuishi, president of Honda Philippines Inc., and a member of the board of trustees of Honda Foundation, Inc. In turn, Philippine Red Cross Chairman Sen. Richard Gordon in turn personally received the donations and was thankful to Mitsuishi and Honda Philippines for the donations.

The motorcycles donated by Honda comprised a total of 104 motorcycle units, 52 of which are were TMX 125 Alphas and the rest of the 58 were Wave 110 Alphas

We at Honda, are committed to supporting institutions that save Filipino lives like the Philippine Red Cross, in their duties and advocacies. We also see this as a way of giving back to the society where Honda operates.

Mitsuishi added expressed that the donations made to PRC were made through Honda Foundation, Inc., corporate social responsibility programs which include the promotion of road safety, environment protection, supporting the youth, and addressing local community needs. He added, “This is also the Honda Group’s way of taking a proactive approach in addressing local community needs during calamities and national emergencies such as the COVID-19 pandemic that we are currently grappling with,”. The donation was also in line with Honda’s One Dream campaign which envisions making Honda motorcycles valuable tools in saving lives, especially befitting in this very challenging time and their cooperation with organizations like the Philippine Red Cross serves as their contribution to combating the global pandemic.
