Have you seen Triumph’s new TF 250-X motocross machine?
Triumph’s first motocross bike looks more than ready to make it big on the global stage.
Iconic British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph has just taken the wraps off its premier motocross offering, the Triumph TF 250-X. This unveiling marks a significant milestone for the renowned brand, stepping into the motocross arena with a machine engineered to meet the demands of the most diehard off-road enthusiasts.
Triumph's groundbreaking motocross bike flaunts a distinctive design featuring Triumph's signature frame and engine configuration. This off-road machine seamlessly incorporates top-tier elements, including precision Brembo brakes, high-performance Galfer discs, agile Pro-Taper handlebars, and the rugged reliability of Pirelli Scorpion MX32 tires.
Performance-wise, the TF 250-X houses a 249.95cc DOHC single-cylinder engine, boasting a bore and stroke of 78mm by 52.3mm and a formidable 14.4 to 1 compression ratio. This powerhouse is coupled with Dell'Orto EFI, perfectly harmonized with a 5-speed gearbox, yet specifics regarding power and torque remain tantalizingly undisclosed, leaving enthusiasts eager to experience its raw capabilities firsthand.
The TF 250-X stands out with its premium construction, boasting an aluminum spine frame coupled with an aluminum swingarm, ensuring both durability and agility on any terrain. Its prowess extends to the suspension system, featuring a KYB 48mm coil spring fork offering 310mm of travel, fully customizable for the rider's preferences. Complementing this, the KYB rear suspension, with 305mm travel, allows adjustment for compression and rebound, ensuring a tailored and responsive ride.
In the braking department, the TF 250-X doesn't hold back, employing top-tier Brembo calipers and Galfer discs. It confidently cruises on 21-inch front and 19-inch rear wheels, gripping the ground with the performance-driven Pirelli Scorpion MX32 tires.
Triumph also unveiled ambitious plans to launch 300 dedicated Triumph Motocross and Enduro centers across Europe, Australia, and the United States by the close of 2024. This strategic expansion hints at Triumph's steadfast commitment to carve a niche in the motocross and enduro segments while fostering a distinct community for off-road enthusiasts.
