CFMOTO launches 700 CL-X Sport in the Philippines for P399,800
This retro roadster gets a sporty makeover.
CFMOTO has released the 700 CL-X Sport in the local market. This retro bike is the second iteration in the manufacturer’s retro-inspired CL-X model range. Combining the aesthetic charm of a retro style café racer, and the modern day performance of a naked sport bike, the new 700 CL-X Sport will certainly appeal to those looking for a more performance oriented package in a stylish, retro style look.
At a glance, it is easy to see how this new bike sets itself apart from the competition. It gets premium, high-tech components you would commonly find in its up spec competitors. For instance, we find Brembo brakes up front, self canceling turn signals, just like we find in the Heritage, and of course, full LED lights. The new 700 CL-X Sport is a more road focused machine, as it supports 17 inch wheels at the front and the back. Wrapped in performance oriented sportbike rubber, the 700 CL-X Sport will certainly make for an exhilarating ride be it on tight twisty roads or even on the race track.
As for performance, the new 700 CL-X Sport features the same 693cc, liquid cooled, fuel injected, 180° parallel twin engine. This performance oriented power plant turns out around 74 hp, making it one of the more powerful bikes in the 650 to 700 cc class. Of course, we can’t forget about it’s retro appeal. Accentuated by the classic round headlight, cropped tail, and clean sloping lines, the 700 CLX sport takes things a step further with aggressive, low-slung clip on handlebars, and slightly rear-set foot pegs.
The 2022 CFMOTO 700 CL-X Sport will surely be the most performance-oriented model in the company‘s local lineup. While we are still waiting for the 800 MT to make its way to the country, there is no denying that the 700 CLX sport makes for an excellent addition to CFMOTO’s already impressive roster of affordable and performance oriented motorcycles. The new bike debuted in the Philippine market on December 4, 2021, in a virtual event held on CFMOTO’s official Facebook page. The 700 CLX sport retails for P399,800.
