CFMOTO expands into the European market
The company is starting to flex its muscles in the international market.

CFMOTO has seen massive success in the Philippines thanks to its very affordable, capable, and dependable highway-legal bike in the form of the 400 NK. Initially landing on our shores back in 2018, this once-obscure Chinese motorcycle manufacturer has cemented its name in the hearts and minds of Filipino motorcycle enthusiasts. In the span of the company’s ongoing successful three-year stint, CFMOTO has significantly improved its model range, launching machines like the 300SR and more recently, the highly anticipated neo-retro street bike, the 700 CL-X.
If up to this point, you’re still not quite sold on how seriously CFMOTO is taking the motorcycle game, it just recently unveiled the most powerful and technologically advanced motorbike in its roster, the 800 MT. Born out of a partnership with KTM, the 800 MT makes use of the same 799cc parallel-twin engine found in the KTM 790 Adventure, as well as a slew of sophisticated rider aids geared towards maximizing the bike’s performance on and off-road.

Having said all this, it’s quite surprising to think that CFMOTO has yet to really set foot onto the global stage. Up until recently, the brand had only made its models available in select Asian countries, Australia, South America, and the UK. This is about to change, however, as CFMOTO has recently entered the European market with four of its best performing models leading the charge. The company’s European lineup consists of Euro 5-compliant iterations of bikes we are very much familiar with—the 300 NK, 650 NK, 650 GT, and 650 MT.
It’s interesting to note that the 400 NK was not introduced in the European market. This is likely due to the licensing restrictions found in the region. Nonetheless, these four bikes are a pretty solid lineup which are sure to be a hit in the market, especially among those looking for premium styling and tech, at a price tag that won’t break the bank. Should these new bikes be well received, CFMOTO is also planning on launching the 800 MT and 700 CL-X across Europe sometime in 2022.
