Brabus 1400 R Signature Edition is pure power wrapped in carbon

The most extreme Brabus motorcycle yet mixes wild design, real performance, and unapologetic luxury in a 190hp package

Brabus 1400 R Signature Edition is pure power wrapped in carbon

Brabus isn’t known for subtlety. For decades, the German tuning house has built its reputation on taking already fast machines and making them louder, meaner, and more expensive. Now it’s doing the same thing on two wheels with the new Brabus 1400 R Signature Edition—a limited-run hyper naked bike that takes everything it learned from the 1300 R and pushes it to a darker, faster, and far more outrageous level.

Built in partnership with KTM and based on the 1390 Super Duke R EVO, this machine comes armed with a 1,350cc LC8 V-twin producing 190hp and 145Nm of torque. That’s the kind of output that’ll make superbikes sweat. Yet it’s wrapped in luxury touches like handcrafted leather seats, custom CNC-machined controls, and a finish so immaculate you’d hesitate to leave it in the rain.

The design is a statement in itself. Brabus calls the color “Midnight Veil,” a deep black paint with blue undertones that plays with light like a prism. The forged Monoblock II EVO wheels, twin underseat exhaust pipes, and exposed carbon everywhere make it clear this isn’t built to blend in. Every detail—from the triple clamp to the heel protectors—is machined, sculpted, or wrapped in carbon.

Performance hasn’t taken a backseat either. The Brabus 1400 R uses WP Apex semi-active suspension with six adjustable modes, letting you go from relaxed touring to full track stiffness with the push of a button. Brembo’s HyPure brake system handles stopping duties with massive 320mm discs and four-piston monoblock calipers, while the electronics package brings lean-sensitive ABS, traction control, and multiple ride modes for the road or circuit.

Only 100 units will be built worldwide, and each one gets its own numbered plaque and “1 of 100” badge. Brabus hasn’t confirmed pricing yet, but expect it to command a serious premium over the KTM it’s based on—likely north of P4.5M if it ever lands locally.

The Brabus 1400 R is ridiculous, indulgent, and completely unnecessary—and that’s exactly why it’s special. It’s not about practicality or lap times. It’s about emotion, design, and flexing what’s possible when performance meets excess.
