BMW Motorrad takes the wraps off the M 1000 RR Limited Edition Isle of Man TT

Only 115 units of this superbike will be made to commemorate 115 years of the Isle of Man TT.

Leave it to BMW Motorrad to find the most fitting way to mark a milestone. To honor the 115th running of the Isle of Man TT, the Germans have cooked up a limited edition M1000 RR that's capped at exactly 115 units globally. Coincidence? Definitely not.

Underneath all the exclusivity, the mechanically-speaking is the same story you already know from the standard M1000 RR. No engine tweaks, no chassis upgrades. What you're really paying for here is the presentation, and it's a pretty convincing one.

The most striking element is the British Racing Green livery, which suits the TT connection better than pretty much any other color choice could. BMW went further by etching graphics of the Mountain Course across the fuel tank and side fairings, with specific sections of the circuit called out by name, including Rhencullen, Kirk Michael, Glen Helen, and the legendary Ramsey Hairpin. It's essentially a love letter to the course, wrapped around a superbike.

Moving away from the bodywork, the spec sheet carries some more nice touches. There's an aluminium tank finished in Satin Chrome, a Black Alcantara seat, and an M carbon airbox cover wearing the Mountain Course graphic and TT logo. The M Race Cover Kit, a black swingarm, TT branding on the rear frame, a rear stand, and an M motorcycle mat with the M and TT logos round out the package.

Every owner also gets a certificate of authenticity, and the top yoke carries the individual unit number of each machine. The base for all of this is the M1000 RR with the M Competition package, though the pillion package is left out of the equation.

As for the price, BMW is asking 43,990 EUR for the privilege, here in the Philippines, that would cost around P3,654,828. Given the production cap and what comes in the box, it's a number that will probably feel pretty reasonable to the 115 people lucky enough to snag one.
