BMW Motorrad France reveals F900 R and XR special editions

France-exclusive Frozen Grey and Aurelius Green models bring M-inspired style to the F900 range.

BMW Motorrad France reveals F900 R and XR special editions

BMW Motorrad’s French division has just dropped a fresh pair of special edition F900 R and F900 XR models that are exclusive to France — but we can’t help wishing they’d make the trip here to the Philippines.

Instead of mechanical upgrades, the focus is all about look and feel. The F900 R comes dressed in a sleek Frozen Grey, while the F900 XR rolls in a standout Aurelius Green hue. Both colourways borrow inspiration from BMW’s car-side M range — with the XR’s green shade normally reserved for the high-end BMW M1000 XR — giving these specials a premium feel.

Both limited editions are currently on display at the Salon du 2 Roues motorcycle show in Lyon, France.

Under the skin, you still get BMW’s trusted 895cc twin engine, producing strong midweight performance without changing the familiar character that riders know. Alongside the special graphics, BMW France has also offered optional accessories that match each bike’s theme. F900 R fans can pick up a tinted screen plus seat and engine covers in Frozen Grey, while the XR can be specced with a taller tinted screen and engine cover in Aurelius Green.

For context here in the Philippines, the regular BMW F 900 R starts at about ₱795,000, while the BMW F 900 XR goes for around ₱995,000 in its standard form — solid prices for a premium middleweight lineup.

France-only releases are always fun to ogle, but seeing these M-inspired F900 editions here in the Philippines? That’d be a cool sight on our roads.
