BMW introduces a new motorcycle smartphone mount
It’s called the ConnectedRide Cradle, and it could be a game-changer.

BMW Motorrad has unveiled a new way to mount a smartphone on your motorcycle. It's called the ConnectedRide Cradle, and it could be a game-changer. If you own one of the latest BMW models like the R nine T 1200, this product will fit your bike perfectly, so you may want to add it to your holiday wish list.
The ConnectedRide Cradle takes an ordinary phone mount and elevates it to the next level with a sleek design and superior ergonomics. BMW says it's not only perfect for use with turn-by-turn navigation, but it can also work as a secondary display to pair with the bike's TFT display (if it has it).
In addition to the navigation feature, the mounted smartphone can also use the BMW Motorrad Connected App to display various vehicle data such as lean angle, acceleration, deceleration, and more.
BMW says that the ConnectedRide Cradle can fit many different smartphone models from the top brands today. It can even charge the phone via USB-C or through 7.5W Qi-standard wireless charging. For monitoring battery level, there's an LED charging indicator that displays the phone's charging status.

The BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Cradle supports many different smartphone models, including the following:
- Apple: iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone SE 2, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max
- Samsung: Galaxy A3, Galaxy A8, Galaxy A8 Plus, Galaxy A9, Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus, Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9 Plus, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S20, Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, Galaxy S20 FE, Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 10 Plus, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
- Huawei: P20, P30
- Google: Pixel 2 XL
- HTC: U11
There’s no word yet on local availability for the ConnectedRide Cradle, but we think the product could be attractive to many BMW riders in the Philippines.
