On September 7, 2023, Aprilia made waves in the global motorcycle scene by unveiling the Aprilia RS 457 during the MotoGP event at Misano. This compact sportbike has generated significant excitement and appears to be following in the footsteps of its high-performance counterparts, the RS 660 and RSV4 1100.

The Aprilia RS 457 marks the latest addition to the esteemed Noale company's range. Interestingly, it is produced at Aprilia's factory in India, likely as a strategic move to make it more accessible to a broader audience. It's important to note that the Indian version closely resembles the one revealed at Misano, highlighting a consistent global design approach.

The standout feature of the Aprilia RS 457 is its 457cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crankshaft, delivering 47 horsepower. It offers multiple ride modes, traction control, and ABS for safety. Tech-savvy riders can customize settings on the user-friendly five-inch TFT display, making the RS 457 a compelling choice for motorcycle enthusiasts.

The suspension system of the RS 457 consists of inverted front forks and a rear monoshock, well-regarded for their ability to deliver precise handling and a comfortable ride. To enhance safety, both front and rear disc brakes, along with ABS, provide reliable stopping power. Riding on 17-inch wheels fitted with TVS Protorq Extreme tires, the RS 457 is poised to maintain excellent road grip, elevating its overall performance and cornering prowess.

If and when Aprilia launches the new sportbike in the local market, it’ll surely capture the attention of sportbike enthusiasts who are looking for an approachable yet potent fully faired machine. It will certainly go head to head with the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja 400, KTM RC 390, and CFMOTO 450 SR.
