All-new 2023 Honda Wave RSX starts at P61,900
Honda claims the Wave RSX achieves up to 67.8 km/L.

The all-new 2023 Honda Wave RSX has been launched, carrying a price tag of P61,900. Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) has made the new underbone available at Honda dealerships across the Philippines. With its attractive price tag and striking new design, could the Wave RSX be another hit for Honda?
Stylish looks

Underbones are often criticized for all having similar looks and styling. Honda has done much in this regard, furnishing the new Wave RSX with a distinctive appearance. It features a bolder front end with an intricate rear design, along with a sporty exhaust to finish the job.
The sporty sticker design also does well to keep the Wave RSX unique in its segment. Complemented by spoked wheels and a sleek instrument panel, this underbone just might impress buyers.
Incredible fuel efficiency
With gas prices reaching astronomical highs this year, the Wave RSX could be the perfect partner for fuel-efficient daily commuting and weekend rides. Honda claims the underbone can achieve up to 67.8 km/L based on the World Motorcycle Test Method.
Honda has ditched the carburetor for a more economical Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-Fi) system. While Honda’s figures aren’t likely to hold up in real-world use, they’re still impressive and should make for hundreds and hundreds of kilometers driven before fueling up.
Bang-for-buck features and pricing
Powering the all-new Honda Wave RSX is a four-stroke, SOHC, air-cooled 109cc power plant that produces 8.66 hp at 7,500 RPM and 8.7 Nm of torque at 6,000 RPM. We’re not sure why Honda didn’t go for a slightly punchier 125cc engine, but it should make little difference given a more efficient fuel injection system.
The Honda Wave RSX rides on a front telescopic suspension, with a twin rear shock stabilizing the rear. It also features mechanical leading-trailing brakes with an available front hydraulic disk brake. On top of that, the Wave RSX gets an Automatic Headlight On (AHO) feature, a secure key shutter, a bigger U-box, and a full chain case.
