2022 KTM RC 390 ready to launch in India in March with adjustable suspension
Come on KTM Philippines, give it to us already!

It’s been a few months since Team Orange unveiled their latest RC 390 sportbike to the world. The next-generation racer from KTM grows in terms of size and features and is now the “it” bike in the lineup. Tons of fans are waiting for the new model’s official release in the Philippines, but it looks like India will predictably get the model first with a very enticing feature: adjustable suspension.
The RC 125 and RC 200 models were the first additions to the Indian lineup from the next-generation RC nameplate. This time, Indian news sources have made mention of an imminent launch happening this March, reportedly.

The main draw that makes the RC 390 such a good deal is with regard to its new set of racing-ready features which includes three-way adjustable suspension with up to 30 clicks for compression and 30 clicks for rebound adjustment, a TFT gauge cluster, a larger tank, and a whole host of lightened components. Fans that came from the first-generation RC 390 had to make do with a smaller tank that’s less than 10 liters in fuel capacity, a halogen projector headlamp, and an LCD digital display that looks dated in comparison to the new one’s.
Performance is brought on by the same 373cc single-cylinder that punches well above its engine layout in terms of power and torque, and what’s new for the 2022 model is the addition of a quick-shifter along with cornering ABS, and traction control.
KTM Philippines has been a little silent about the launch of the new RC 390. It could be because the brand’s slowly biding their time and setting up for local production, which is a total possibility given that even the Husqvarna Svart and Vitpilen 401s get assembled locally. We’ll have to wait and see for now, but some murmurs in the community have pointed to a new RC 390 dropping sometime soon, we’ll just have to wait and see.
