The 2021 Ducati SuperSport 950 will be making its way to dealerships soon
Quite a few major updates on this sporty tourer.
Ducati has updated the SuperSport for the 2021 model year to feature a slew of major updates. The iconic Italian motorcycle manufacturer has been making the SuperSport S for a number of years now. Positioned as a touring motorcycle bearing sportier riding characteristics as opposed to other sport tourers, the SuperSport now bears revised styling, giving it a stronger resemblance to the Panigale line of sportbikes.
Going into more detail, the SuperSport 950 gets a revised front fascia, complete with functional air ducts and a new LED lighting system, the new SuperSport fits perfectly into Ducati’s 2021 model lineup. The updated model even features a redesigned fairing, making the bike sleeker, and more efficient at dissipating engine heat away from the rider. Aesthetics aside, the 2021 Ducati SuperSport 950 has been outfitted with a slew of rider aids. Governed by a six-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU), the SuperSport 950 gets cornering ABS, wheelie control, traction control, and three riding modes. All settings can be toggled via a full-color 4.3-inch TFT instrument cluster.
As far as performance is concerned, the 2021 Ducati SuperSport 950 comes equipped with a 937cc, Testastretta, L-Twin engine equipped with desmodromic valve actuation. Sporting a revised exhaust system, the engine is now Euro 5 compliant, and pumps out an exhilarating 110 hp and 93 Nm of torque making it both a comfortable and exciting motorcycle to pilot. That said, don’t let this bike’s full fairing and aggressive appearance lead you to believe that it is a full blown sportbike. The SuperSport 950 in fact, features a rather upright riding stance, and a comfortable seat more than capable of two-up riding.
As of this writing, we have yet to hear from Ducati Philippines as to the release date of the 2021 Ducati SuperSport 950. That being said, the outgoing generation, the Ducati SuperSport S, presents itself with impeccable performance and both sporty and long distance riding capabilities. It starts at P1,040,000 for the red color variant, and P1,050,000 for the Star White Silk version.
